I have a lifelong Lutheran. I joined CLC with wife in 2003. I have been on Church Council since 2004 minus mandatory breaks. If I had to do this all over again I would do exactly the same. It’s been my honor to be one of God’s sheep.

Bible Verse: Matthew 6:21 - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. About Me: I was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. I was baptized in an LCA church as a baby and I have attended Lutheran churches throughout my life. I met Pam while we were both attending Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. I graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and was commissioned as an Ensign in the Navy one weekend, then Pam and I were married the following weekend. My initial assignment was on a destroyer in San Diego, then to Portland, OR, and then Salt Lake City, UT. Our children David and Donna were born in Utah, then we moved to Monterey, CA where I attended the Naval Postgraduate School. In Mar 89, we moved to Virginia Beach, VA for our next assignment. In May, our David was diagnosed with a serious heart defect. He was 5 ½ when he died in Jul 89 following open heart surgery. Our daughter Danielle was born in Jan 91. The Navy transferred us to DC in Aug 96 and we lived in Waldorf, MD for 22 years. I retired from the Navy as a Captain in Jul 06, then went on to work in DC as a Navy support contractor for 10 years. Our daughter Donna had a double lung transplant at Duke University in Sep 18 and is doing well with her new lungs. Donna has two boys, Ethan (6) and Owen (3). Danielle has one girl, Claire (1). Pam and I moved to The Estuary near Bethany Beach in Jan 19. Pam and I have volunteered and served in churches across the country since we were married in 1979. We have worked with youth activities, taught both youth and adult Sunday School, participated in bible studies, worked in the food pantry, and served on church committees and councils. We are proud to do God’s Work with our Hands in whatever way He calls us to do so. I look forward to this opportunity continue our work for Him as a member of the Community Lutheran Church Council.

Bible Verse: About Me: My name is Kathryn Waluk, I am originally from Eastern Pa. I graduated from Ithaca College with a BS in Physical Therapy. I then lived and worked on Long Island. While there I earned my MS in PT from Long Island University. I worked for the Suffolk County Health Department for 30 years. I am married to Ed and we have 2 children a son who just retired from the Air Force after 22 years and a daughter and we have 5 grandchildren. We moved to Delaware in 2013. I have also been a church organist for over 50 years.

About Me: I am a Jersey girl, born and raised. We raised our two sons in Maryland and retired in Delaware. I love to read, travel, and play with our grandson as much as possible.

And be sure of this: I am with you always; even to the end of the age.” About Me: I was born in Northeastern Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State University with an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering. While at PSU I met my wife Nina, and we were married in 1977. In 1977 I was hired by Commonwealth Telephone Co. and was encouraged to attain a degree in Electrical Engineering which I did from PSU in 1980. After moving through management positions in Engineering and Operations, I moved to a corporate position in Human Resources at C-Tec Corp. in 1988. During the following years I earned a BA in General Studies (Business 1989) and a MS in Organizational Management (Human Resources in 1993) from Misericordia University. In 1998 I moved to Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania until leaving there in 2007 as VP of Human Resources. I was an Adjunct Faculty Member of Misericordia teaching HR part-time from 1998 to 2014. In 2008 I started an HR Consulting company serving small to medium sized companies until fully retiring in 2019. Nina and I are blessed with 2 children Ed and CJ. CJ returned to Heaven in 1990. Ed is married to Susan and have a son Eddie. Nina and I moved to Dagsboro in 2020 and became members of CLC in 2021.

After graduating from UCLA, I attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a MS in Chemistry. While attending school, I met my wife Karlyn and have been blessed with two children – son Erik and his wife Jen have 2 daughters and live in Atlanta, GA; and daughter Michelle and her husband Jake have a daughter and son and live in Glenside, PA. After accepting employment with DuPont in Wilmington, DE, I continued my education, earning a MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. After retiring in 1999, we moved first to Berlin, MD and then to Millsboro, DE. In April, we hope to move to Seabreeze Village in Millville.

About me: I was born in Roanoke, Virginia and lived there until I was 10 when my family moved to New York City. After a year and a half we moved to central Maryland where I grew up. After high school I began working for the Department of Defense where I worked for 12 years in research and language analysis. Later I served in positions of computer science, information technology and satellite communications totaling 27 years. In 1996 I graduated from University of Maryland University College with a BS in Information Systems Management. In the late 1990s I, along with my family, spent three years in Germany where I worked (as a civilian) in an organization supporting military operations in Europe. In 2005 I retired from the federal government and worked for a defense contractor for 9 more years in Information Technology. In 2014 I retired and moved to Dagsboro, DE where I live now with my wife and daughter. I became Lutheran in 1974 when my wife and I were married. And since then I've been a member of two Lutheran churches while in Maryland. Then in 2021 I joined Community Lutheran.

Bible Verse: Matthew 6:33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. About Me: Wayne R. Schaumburg was born and raised in Baltimore City. He attended Towson University where he majored in history and geography. Wayne also has graduate degrees from Morgan State University and Johns Hopkins University. He taught high school social studies in the city school system for 39 years before retiring in 2007. For the past 15 years, Wayne taught continuing education courses on Baltimore history and architecture at several local colleges. Wayne and his partner Debbie Klenk moved to Ocean View in 2019 and have fallen in love with “Lower Slower Delaware.” We began attending Community Lutheran Church and became members last year. Wayne is a life-long Lutheran beginning with Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Immanuel Lutheran Church, and Christus Victor Lutheran Church all in the Baltimore area. He served on council at all three churches.

About Me: I am a native Washingtonian, grew up in Silver Spring MD and relocated to Berlin, MD in 2002. Baptized Greek Orthodox, attended Holy Trinity LC (ELCA) in Laurel , MD with husband Dick, and became members. Dick and I have been members of CLC since 2003. After 37 years of public service, I retired in 2005 and have been active in church activities including serving on Council.
